National Beagle Club of America, 1914

A pack trial and bench show event for the National Beagle Club of America held on Foggy Bottom Road, Bluemont, VA in 1914. Packs represented include Piedmont Hunt Club, Sir Sister Beagles, Belray Beagles, Ragdale Beagles, Somerset Beagles, and Wheatley Beagles.

The National Cherry Blossom Festival commemorates the 1912 gift of Japanese cherry trees from Tokyo’s mayor Yukio Ozaki to Washington D.C.. The first festival was held in 1935 and the tradition continues to this day.
